Game Description:

Played in micro-gravity: 2 Teams of 3 Astroletes

When the game is being played there will only be 2 participants (1 from each team) each round: 1 “gunner” and 1 “runner.”
For success in this game Astroletes will be benefited from upper body strength, agility, and accuracy

The Game: 1 gunner stands on an elevated platform, overlooking the field of play, with a gun turret that shoots out foam bullets. Below, in the field of play, is an obstacle course with various structures and various things to both navigate and hide behind.

The runner has 25 seconds to get from one end of the course to the other without getting hit. If the gunner hits the runner with a foam bullet then that team is awarded a point. If the runner successfully makes it across the course without getting hit, then their team is awarded a point.
Each of the 3 players for each team get an opportunity to be both the runner and the gunner. The team with the most points at the end wins the match.

If both teams have the same amount of points after all regulation rounds, then the match enters into sudden death and each team elects their best player to be their runner and gunner (the same player must do both) whoever wins this 1 on 1
matchup’s team wins the game.

If they tie again then the round is repeated until there is 1 winner and 1 loser.

The game would spark engagement because of the classic show “American Gladiators” which was a favorite among many television fans.
